MONTVALE, N.J., Jan. 4, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Sharp Imaging and Information Company of America (SIICA), a division of Sharp Electronics Corporation, today introduced the first 4K Ultra-HD addition to its award-winning AQUOS BOARD interactive display line.
The new 70" Class (69.5" diagonal) PN-L705H serves as Sharp's most sophisticated AQUOS BOARD interactive display yet and is built for the most demanding business environments. With the ability to reproduce content accurately using incredibly precise rendering of color and detail, it offers extremely fast response times and ultra-HD resolution alongside revolutionary writing comfort that is close to actually using a pen to write on real paper.
The PN-L705H interactive display, which was awarded "Best Concept Product" and "Best New Collaboration Board" at InfoComm 2017 by rAVe, and the "2017 Good Design Award" from the Japan Institute for Design Promotion, features Sharp's original capacitive touch technology, which provides highly accurate touchscreen operation. Able to detect up to 30 touch points simultaneously, the 4K Ultra-HD (3,840 × 2,160-pixel) resolution display allows for a more natural touch performance. This is due to the incorporation of its direct bonding technology, which helps to minimize parallax errors and reduce light reflection and refraction. Because of its extremely precise and smooth operation, the PN-L705H interactive display facilitates interactivity in virtually any environment and in various orientations—landscape, portrait, face up and tilted backwards.
Sharp's interactive display shares some great features with other models in the award-winning AQUOS BOARD interactive display line, including the Sharp Pen-on-Paper™ user experience, which resists fingerprints and scratches, as well as providing an anti-glare surface. The PN-L705H comes bundled with the PN-ZL06, a new active touch pen exclusive to this display. Additional pens are available to support up to four simultaneous users. This Bluetooth®-connected pen includes a 2-mm pressure sensitive tip that is ideal for writing fine lines and text on higher resolution screens and features a software-enabled multi-color LED and a virtual pointer that works seamlessly with the display.
"We're excited to introduce the PN-L705H—our first 4K Ultra-HD resolution interactive display—to our industry-leading AQUOS BOARD interactive display product line," said Gary Bailer, Director of Product Planning and Marketing for Pro AV Products at Sharp Imaging and Information Company of America. "With four times the pixel resolution of Full HD, and what might be the first touch pen with pointer functionality in the industry, the PN-L705H offers an impressive landscape and enhanced interactivity suited for various collaborative environments and applications.
Because of its precise detail and superior interactivity features, the PN-L705H interactive display excels in a multitude of applications, especially for those in collaborative industries such as architecture, design and visual arts – as well as in museum and library environments. As a result of its 4K Ultra-HD resolution, the PN-L705H is capable of displaying up to four Full HD (1,920 × 1,080-pixel) signals simultaneously in each quadrant of the screen. In addition, the interactive display includes a Palm Cancellation feature that starts automatically when the PN-ZL06 tip touches the screen, maximizing both interactivity and collaboration amongst teams.
Bundled with SHARP Pen Software, the PN-L705H allows users to download SHARP Display Connect™ and SHARP Touch Viewer™ software at no additional cost. Additionally, an expansion slot compatible with the Intel® Mini Open Pluggable Specification (Mini OPS) supports the addition of optional wireless, computing, or HDBaseT™ receiver boards, giving the display a unique, open platform flexibility – also a first in the market.
The PN-L705H AQUOS BOARD interactive display will be available in early February 2018.
