Veteran sales executive brings depth of experience in building global sales channel, with track record in accelerating international sales
Hayward, CA, January 21, 2009: Jupiter Systems (www.jupiter.com), the industry leader in display wall processors, today announced the selection of Dorothy Farris as V.P., Worldwide Sales. Farris brings over 20 years of sales management and global channel building experience in the AV, IT, and computer industries. She will be responsible for managing and building Jupiter’s worldwide sales efforts.

Her background will enable Jupiter to accelerate its growth as the demand for real-time information systems continues to grow. We are delighted to have her join our executive team.”

Prior to joining Jupiter Systems she was Vice President, Sales at Wyse Technology, Inc., a leading manufacturer of thin client technology and infrastructure software, selling to Fortune 1000 companies and government. There, she managed and led strategic sales to Canada, Latin America, federal government markets and global System Integrators.
Previously, Farris was V.P. Sales Americas, at Viewsonic Corporation, a billion dollar vendor providing monitors, LCD television, and peripherals to Fortune 500 companies, small and medium-sized businesses, and consumers, and was recognized by Computer Reseller News as one of the industry’s top channel executives.
Prior to that, Farris held a range of sales operations and consulting positions including: Senior Vice President, Marketing and Channel Sales, and Vice President, Applications Service Provider (ASP) Sales, at Futurelink Corporation, strategic sales and marketing for Cyrix Corporation, Director of Worldwide Sales Support Operations at Allied Signal Aerospace, and National Director of Field Operations and Director of Channel Marketing at Epson America. During her tenure at Epson, she was one of 100 women invited to join Leadership America in its class of 1991.
Earlier Farris also served at Compaq Computer Corporation, Exxon Office Systems, and IBM.
Farris received her A.A. in Math and B.S. in Business Administration at the Rochester Institute of Technology. A pioneer sales woman in high technology, she has served both as board member and as president of the board for Leadership California, and is a member of the National Advisory Board for the Women’s Museum in Dallas,Texas. Recently, she was elected to the board of trustees of The Chicago School of Psychology.
