Intelligent Capabilities Deliver Energy Saving and Remote Management Functionality

LAS VEGAS – June 09, 2010 – AMX®, the leading provider of solutions that simplify the implementation, maintenance, and use of technology to create effective environments, today announced the next-generation ViewStat Color Communicating Thermostat (ENV-VST-C). The intelligent ViewStat comes with a 3.5" color display and is fully programmable for automatic scheduling, automatic temperature and relative humidity adjustments and features an EPA-recommended comfort recovery mode that incrementally adjusts indoor temperatures to achieve desired settings prior to a residents’ arrival. The ViewStat features a 7-day programmable, four-set-point interface and displays the 5-day weather forecast for a convenient way to manage the heating and cooling in a home, business or any other environment. AMX will be demonstrating the ViewStat in booth C4417 at InfoComm 2010, being held June 9 – 11 in Las Vegas.

The updated ViewStat Communicating Thermostat features an energy-saving comfort recovery mode, which adjusts settings over a period of time in lieu of taxing the system abruptly, more intuitive navigation, improved graphics, control of relative humidity levels, power-outage protection and offers complete digital thermostat functionality including auto changeover - the ability to automatically change from heat to cool. AMX NetLinx® Interface enables management and control of multiple thermostats from Modero® Touch Panels, for convenient, centralized management of temperature information.

The Title 24 compliant ViewStat supports most HVAC equipment. For those needing to manage multiple HVAC systems or zones within larger properties, the ViewStat can also be controlled remotely. The 5-Day Weather forecast is available with AMX Weather application and subscription.
